April Fishing

It’s April and the “Specks” have made their way back into the rich waters of the Apalachicola Bay. Several Boats had their limit on Sat. April 9th. More boats fished the outside beaches and caught reds, pompano, and the whiting are still doing good with a black drum along. I fished Mr. Scott Phelps of Tuscaloosa, Al and his future son in law Kelly & his father Chris Sat. April 9th & we had 3 Trout over 5 pounds and had our limit of 20 (total) . We also had a 27 inch Redfish and threw back a 29 inch Red and several (Rat) Reds. We also had some whiting we caught on the outside beach. We also caught trout under the Brids just like in the fall of the year, something Capt. Jr Holland and I haven’t seen in the spring in years and He and I have been Guiding here sine 1969 . It looks like we will have a good crop of fish this year so come on down and have some fun! give us a call and we will take you Fishing, sightseeing or shelling. Hope to see you soon, Capt. Capt. Charles' Fishing Report

Here is where you’ll find my fishing report. Every week or so I’ll be bringing you up to date on what’s being fished for, what’s being caught, and sometimes a recipe or two so you’ll know how to get the maximum enjoyment out of your catch.

Of course, it being springtime, we are awaiting the arrival of pompano on our shores. Talk about good eating! Pompano fixed right is just tremendous.
