March & april Fishing

March was a pretty good month we had decent weather and the fishing was fair to good. Whiting and Speckled Trout was good Reds & pompano were a little harder to come by but we caught a few. April is here and we are catching more trout and Reds than in March the Pompano are here also along with a few Triple Tail & Black Drum we are also catching some nice white trout. The weather has been unseasonable warm for the most part that means peligic fish are showing up Spanish & Blues in the Bay & King Fish off shore. We are seeing good numbers of Red Snapper off Shore we can’t keep any untill June 1 but we see a good sign of them. Amberjack are good right now as well as Red Grouper. We have had some real nice catches off shore in the recent past late March & early April. So come on down and let me take you in the Bay or Offshore for a fun filled day of fishing. You can see the 2012 fishing regulations on my web page then you will know what is in season when you are here. June is starting to book up if you want to go Offshore to catch Snapper don’t wait to late to book your trip we fished 29 days last June, the season is so short everyone wants to go we are limited to 48 days for the Snapper season.Tight lines & Fair winds. December & January fishing Report

The average person would think because it’s January and cold weather is here that the fishing is over not so, I took Mr. Bruce Kastor of Ocala Fl  and his son in law 4 days the last of Dec. we caught fish everyday. We were fishin with artifical bait and caught all specks with limits of nice fish. In January Mr. Ronnie Sewell of Odessa, Tx caught a good number of specks on artifical bait. There is still fish to be caught this winter and we are looking forward to a exciting spring and summer season so come on down and let’s catch some fish and have some fun!

October & November Fishing Report

October  was Great !  we had beautiful weather and the fishing was awesome! November is almost as amazing as was Oct. The fish have started moving into the rivers and some nice trout & Reds  are being taken. The low river has let the fish move way upriver and are scattered all over. Sat 11/19 we had some big Specks and some nice keeper Reds in the river. It looks like the fishing is going to be good right on through Feb there are a lot of small 14 -14 1/2 inch trout in the rivers that will only get bigger. The only drawback on fishing this time of the year is the weather if you can get some good weather you can have some good  fishing, so come on down and catch some fish! Check out the comments on my facebook page at some of the recent trips. Tight lines  Capt. Charles

July Fishing!!

Well were half way into July it has been a good spring and summer thus far. We have seen an abundance of Red Snapper, Kingfish, Black sea bass, B-liners, triggerfish as well as other species found in the Gulf. Snapper season closes at midnight 7/18/2011 due to the shortened season we have been booked almost everyday which is a good thing, just wish it was a longer season. The weather has been wonderful we haven’t missed a charter so far this season due to the weather God has been on our side despite the Governments effort to put us all out of business. The Bay fishing has been assume! with trout both Specks & white trout being caught in abundance. I would like to encourage all you fishing enthusiast to contact your local Congressmen & women as well as your Senators and let them know were are not satisfied with the Rules that are now in place Governing our fishing in the Gulf. Folks who fished with me this year saw the Gag Grouper that we threw back it is ridiculous because of the crazy laws we have to abide by, folks we are slowly losing all our God given rights. The old saying is the squeaky wheel gets the grease let’s make some noise! Thanks to all those who have came and fished with us this year despite the limits I think as a whole we have had good trips and caught good fish but if limits wasn’t as strict we could have done much better. Capt. Charles
